Narco Season 3 Gets a Teaser Trailer

[SPOILERS for those not caught up on Narcos ahead.]

The teaser trailer for Narcos season 3 teases the rise of the Cali Cartel, spearheaded by brothers Miguel Rodriguez Orejuela (Francisco Denis) and Gilberto Rodriguez Orejuela (Damian Alcazar). Coming off two critically-acclaimed seasons that focused on Pablo Escobar’s (Wagner Moura) infamous Medellin Cartel, the Netflix series will be moving onto a new cocaine empire, when it kicks off its third installment later this year.

Following the conclusion to El Padrino’s story – ending with his death on a rooftop in the middle-class barrio of Los Olivos in the Narcos season 2 finale – many fans were wondering what the show will be up to next. It seems that the Netflix series planted plot seeds for what comes next, via the subtle introduction of the Orejuela clan into the mix. The Cali, Colmbia-natives were at some point, also among the many groups who were hunting down Escobar – but unlike the DEA, their motivations are purely from a competitive standpoint, given that they both round the same illegal drug-peddling industry.

Why Was Zendaya’s Spider-Man: Homecoming Character Kept Secret?

Warning: SPOILERS ahead for Spider-Man: Homecoming

Near the end of Spider-Man: Homecoming, Zendaya’s character, Michelle, drops something of a bombshell on Peter and the gang: “My friends call me MJ.” Those initials, of course, belong to the famous love of Peter Parker’s life, Mary Jane Watson, played by Kirsten Dunst in Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man movies, and by Shailene Woodley in The Amazing Spider-Man 2  (though her scenes were edited out of the final cut).

Now we know that Michelle is MJ, which means she’s all-but-certainly destined to be Peter Parker’s romantic lead as his corner of the Marvel Cinematic Universe continues to unfold. The classic red-headed Mary Jane Watson may not be part of the MCU, but a character bearing her initials would be a fitting nod to her legacy while forging a new path, similar to the “Robin” reveal at the end of The Dark Knight Rises.

The Defenders’ Alexandra is ‘Not a Villain’

Sigourney Weaver wants Defenders fans to know Alexandra isn’t a villain —  or at least, in the traditional sense. Details about her character, the upcoming Marvel series’ antagonist, have been kept tightly under wraps. All that’s known is that she’s the head of an ancient organization — potentially as The Hand’s leader — and that she’s a “a very powerful force in New York City” who is “sophisticated, intellectual, [and] dangerous.”

Whatever the specifics, she’s certainly The Defenders‘ big bad  — a sinister foe dangerous enough to force Daredevil, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and Jessica Jones together. But Weaver has been vocal that the role is far more complex than a plot point driving the streetwise anti-heroes together, and the same concept applies to semantics, too.

It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia: 15 CRAZIEST Things Charlie Has Done

After 12 seasons, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia remains one of the best shows on television. The gang has been up to their antics for over a decade now, and continue to be one of the consistently funny shows on television. While other long-running comedies fall-off and drift into obscurity, Always Sunny seems to get better with every season released by FXX.

The gang has done some outrageous things over the course of their television appearance. They get away with some of the most offensive material. Whether it’s dropping N-words, C-words and F-words all in one episode or debating the merits of black face in cinema, the gang has done it all. The most absurd of all characters on the show has to be the illiterate, illegitimate, borderline feral Charlie Kelly, as portrayed by Charlie Day.
